| Frequently
asked Questions: What causes my problem? |
|
1. Plants keep showing up as 'Sold
Out' when I click on the cart. If there's a cart showing and I can click
on it, I assume it's not
sold out.

This is most likely a browser caching issue.
If your browser is not set to check for page
updates, either on every visit to the page, or each time it is restarted, etc.,
the browser will continue to reflect the page properties as stored in their
cache. In other words, you see 'old pages' not the newest page.
The default for most browsers should be to check
for updates to pages as often as the browser is restarted, however the user may
always over-ride this setting. If they do, as often as they visit any site that
is still stored within the cache, they will see the same content as was
previously viewed- regardless of whether visiting a shopping site, news site,
etc.

2. Each time I place a plant in my
cart, the other plant I had in there disappears. What gives?
|

If a customer reports that items are
disappearing from their cart as they shop, disabled cookies are most likely the
cause. The cookie remembers what items they added to the cart as they browse
your store. You will have to enable 'cookies' on your
Browser. How
to Enable Cookies

3. I added a plant to my shopping cart
but when I got ready to check out, the plant was not available.
|
|
A plant isn't 'sold' until check out.
At any given time, several people may have the same plant in their shopping
cart. Because our cart 'remembers' your order and lets you work on it for
up to 5 weeks, hundreds of people with 'pending' orders could tie up our entire
inventory and possibly not make a purchase.
"A product is only removed from
inventory when purchased successfully. If there is one of a particular item left
in stock, it is possible for two people to put the item in their cart, and one
to check out before the other. The second customer will be notified by the cart
what has happened."
The good news is, because we're truly a
Nursery that grows our own plants, as soon as inventory starts to get low on a
plant, we start producing more, so generally, the plant will be available again
soon.
