Taxodium ascendens 'Morris'
ppaf (DebonairTM) Pond

Taxodium ascendens 'Morris'
ppaf (DebonairTM) above, has 'awl' foliage,
swirled around the branch that drapes gracefully down with age |
but with the same 'knees' rising up from roots as
Taxodium distichum shown above which has rank and file foliage all
in one plane. |
|
|
Note, this patented plant must come to us from an
authorized propagator. It is side grafted by the lawful
propagator, to root stock of T. distichum. The 'bump' from the
graft soon blends into the tree trunk. It readily forms a new
central leader. If you want a single stem, prune others away.
Do be mindful with any grafted plant to watch for a shoot coming out
below the graft which would be in this case, branches of T.
distichum and remove those. T. distichum foliage is flat, in
one plane and readily differentiated from the awl foliage of
'Debonair'. |
