The horizontal forms want to go anywhere but straight up! They especially love sideways! Work 'with them' in your pruning and shaping, not against them! | Look at our 'babies' -- even at 6 months of age, they have no intention of forming a central leader and growing straight up! They're 'free-spirited' from birth! With staking and pruning they'll go up for awhile and then off they go again sideways! |
