Salvia elegans - Pineapple Sage

Salvia elegans paired to good effect with one of our favorites, virtually unknown gold Coreopsis integrifolia and white Chrysanthemum 'Venus'. Again, here with Chrysanthemum 'Venus'.  Normally, Pineapple Sage will reach towering height and be too tall to pair with Chrysanthemum but judicious cutting back mid-summer keeps it shorter if you like.
 

If you prefer 'Screaming Colors' you can always place it in front of Abelia mosanensis and in Fall your garden will literally shout at passersby to take a look!
