1998) "Destined to be one of the truly great Hostas". Leaves have dark
green centers w/ light golden margins & are somewhat twisted & widen w/

Hosta clausa stolonifera Zone: 3-8B  
Less
known than the standard hybrids, but no less wonderful, this species
spreads by stolons & makes an unusual groundcover of very dark green
lance-shaped leaves. The flower stalks reach 22" tall, with flower buds
that never open (clausa = closed). The buds are DEEP LAVENDER w/ a HOT
PINK ring around the base... very striking!

Medium-sized
broadly oval green leaf w/ a white margin. The blunt rounded end
distinguishes this from 'H. undulata Albo-marginata with which it is

sport of and similar to H. Golden Tiara except the wavy leaf margin is
creamy white, providing excellent contrast to the green centered

A
small sized Hosta with very narrow RUFFLED YELLOW LEAVES. The unique
leaves 4" x 3/4" are yellow and wavy. It has purple striped flowers. One

Hosta 'First Mate'

This
2003 Machen introduction is a tetraploid that's an improved selection of
'Kabitan' featuring long wavy leaves and improved vigor due to the wider
green margin than 'Kabitan' (the green part of the leaf is what makes
food for the plant!). Dark lavender blooms open in midsummer.
Leaves are dense and heavily rippled when mature. Golden middle my
turn near white in full sun, probably not the best look, but it does
tolerate the sun.

the oval/heart shaped leaves are creamy yellow w/ a crisp, green margin.

Slightly
rugose gray-green leaves w/ a VERY fine white line on the edge - not
